Terms of service
untick is an independent software product operated by Mahmoud Shayeb, an individual developer (not a registered company). By creating an account or running a scan you agree to these terms.
1. The service
untick scans publicly available web pages and reports potential dark patterns and consent issues. Reports are automated risk assessments, not legal advice, and may not detect every issue.
2. Acceptable use
Only scan websites you own, operate, or are authorised to assess. Don’t use untick to overload, attack or scrape websites, to probe private networks, or to break any law. We may suspend accounts that do.
3. Your account
Keep your credentials safe; you’re responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
4. Payments — Paddle is our reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices are shown before checkout; applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated by Paddle.
5. Subscriptions, cancellation and refunds
Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Cancel any time from Plan → Manage billing; you keep access until the end of the paid period. See our refund policy.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. We may improve or change features; we’ll email account holders about material changes to these terms at least 14 days before they apply.
7. Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
